Department of Revenue Offers Filing of Hall Income Tax Online
NASHVILLE - (March 27, 2002) - Each year approximately 213,350 Tennesseans are required to file and pay their Hall Income tax. Today, the Tennessee Department of Revenue made that task a little easier for businesses and citizens.
Convenient, close at hand and open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the Department of Revenue's Hall Income ETAX application provides Tennesseans with the ability to file their Hall Income tax online. In addition, filers can pay their taxes online via their checking or savings account versus having to use a credit card. Tennesseans can file their Hall Income tax at www.TennesseeAnytime.org/etax, the State of Tennessee's official Web site.
"We are delighted to offer a user-friendly tax payment solution to the citizens and businesses of Tennessee," said Ruth Johnson, Commissioner of Revenue. "Filing your Hall Income tax can now be done 7 days a week, 24 hours a day with just a simple click of your mouse."
As with paper returns, the deadline for E-filed returns is April 15, 2002. In addition to being able to file a paper return, Tennesseans can also file applications for extension, amended returns, make estimated payments and file for exemptions. All of these options are available through the E-file at www.TennesseeAnytime.org/ETAX.
