The Governor's Office is looking for bright, motivated college juniors and seniors who are interested in a hands-on learning experience. There are three opportunities throughout the course of the year for students to be considered for full-time internships in the Governor's Office: fall semester, spring semester, and summer semester. Interns will work Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the course of the internship. Please note that this is an unpaid internship; however, we will work with students, as necessary, to assist them in receiving academic credit for their work in the Governor's Office. Interns will receive employee badges for access to the State Capitol and a parking pass to an assigned state employee parking lot.

Positions in Governor's Office departments provide students who are interested in the political process a chance to concentrate in a specific area. Please see the attached application for position descriptions and requirements. While there is usually only one intern assigned to each department per semester, the program's structure encourages interaction among the interns through a variety of means, including cross-training in other departments within the Governor's Office as needed which broadens the internship experience.

We encourage any self-motivated individual who wants to contribute to a team atmosphere while learning more about the political process to apply.
