Denise D. Wood, FedEx Corporation, Corporate Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer
Ms. Wood is responsible for global information security and business continuity strategies across all FedEx operating companies. Her key initiatives include identity and risk management, application security, enterprise desktop and server management, corporate compliance, disaster recovery, and enterprise education and awareness. Before leading Information Security, Ms. Wood was vice president of Worldwide Revenue Systems. Her responsibilities included managing the systems that billed, recorded and reported monthly revenue. Prior to that, Ms. Wood spent five years managing teams that developed fedex.com applications and a host of automation tools. In 1995, Ms. Wood became the first chief information officer for FedEx Asia Pacific. She spent three years creating the information infrastructure to support the fast-growing region, and was responsible for all information technology and billing functions. Ms. Wood joined FedEx in 1984 as a senior engineer in Network Engineering. Before joining FedEx, Ms. Wood worked for Bell South, AT&T, and U.S. West in sales and marketing.
